  1. Can disabled and senior citizens use the bus?

    46% of TPM’s bus fleet are equipped with a special ramp to facilitate the entering/exiting of the bus by senior citizens and wheelchair passengers. However, to ensure that the bus/buses on your chosen route/s is/are equipped with this feature, passengers can book ahead by phoning (+39) 039 2098402, specifying the day and time of their journey.

  2. I lost something on the bus, can I get it back?

    For information on lost and found items passengers should ring (+39) 039 2098400 at the following times:

    Mon-Thur: 8.30-12.30 and 2pm-5.30pm
    Friday: up to 4pm

    In the event a passenger loses their TPM travelcard, all they need to do is go to the TPM head office in Via Borgazzi 35, Monza with their travelcard receipt to obtain a new travelcard. No fee is charged except for a minor administrative cost.

  3. How can I find out about a bus strike?

    You can check on possible transport strikes by visiting the homepage of the TPM website at www.tpmonzesi.com or by phoning the operations centre (039 209841). Some bus stops and vehicles will display notices in such an event. TPM will advise passengers five days before a strike when this is called with sufficient notice.

  4. Can animals travel on the bus?

    • Pets only may travel on the public transport vehicles operating in the City of Monza; pets travel free of charge.
    • Pets must always be accompanied by their owner or someone delegated by owner to accompany the animal; those accompanying the pet must ensure the animal does not leave a mess, defecate, create a disturbance or inflict damage on any other passenger or to the vehicle.
    • Dogs must be kept on a lead and wear a muzzle, while the owner/delegate must be equipped with the means to remove and clean any mess or feces the dog may leave. That rule does not apply to trained guide dogs for the visually or hearing-impaired.
    • Where requested by the driver or a passenger, guide dogs for the visually and hearing-impaired must wear a muzzle (Law 60 of 08/02/2006).
    • No more than two dogs per person are allowed to travel.
    • Any other kind of animal must be transported in a special transportation carrier (e.g. cases for cats and rabbits, cages for rodents and birds) that prevent the animal/s from interfering with or annoying other passengers; such animals must never be released inside the vehicle. The carriers must be closed or covered to prevent causing stress to the transported animal and to ensure its wellbeing.
    • No more than two pet carriers per person are allowed.
    • Only a specific number of pets are allowed to travel at any one time on any one vehicle, the maximum number allowed is:
      - 3 (three) dogs per vehicle in non-peak hours ( from 8.30am to 12.30pm – from 14.30 to 17.00 and from 19.00 to the end of the service)
      - 1 (one) dog per vehicle at rush hour ( from 6.30am to 8.30am -  from 12.30pm to 14.30 and from 17.00 to 19.00).

    Anyone accompanying a dog/s or those who carry animals in containers will be obliged to pay any damages that might be caused to people or the vehicle.

  5. Can I purchase my ticket on the bus?

    No. You must buy your ticket or travelcard before getting on the bus, otherwise you could be fined.

  6. What should I do if the time-and-date stamp machine on the bus is out of order?

    You must write the date of your journey on the ticket with a pen.
